Turf Scouts was founded in 2009 by Owner & President, Hobie Barrett, with a mission to redefine excellence in lawn care. Hobie’s passion for landscaping began during his studies at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, where he earned a degree in Turf Grass Management in 2003. After graduation, he honed his skills over three years working in golf course maintenance and construction, gaining invaluable experience in precision care and aesthetic design. Transitioning to residential and commercial landscaping, Hobie recognized a need for a lawn care company that stood apart from the rest—one that combined expertise, innovation, and a personalized approach. This vision led to the creation of Turf Scouts, dedicated to proving that all tree, shrub, and lawn care services are not alike.
